The track's most notable characteristic is its dramatic 110-foot elevation change throughout the lap, creating a roller-coaster effect as drivers navigate the undulating terrain. The main straight allows vehicles to reach impressive speeds before braking hard for the tight first corner. Several blind crests and off-camber turns demand precise driving techniques and reward bravery and skill. The circuit can also be configured into a shorter 1.53-kilometer (0.95-mile) South Loop for club events and driver training. History

Originally opened in 1964 as "Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant," the track quickly established itself on the international racing scene. The circuit hosted two Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix events in 1968 and 1970, won by Denny Hulme and Jacky Ickx respectively. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, it was a fixture on the Can-Am series calendar, attracting legendary drivers like Bruce McLaren, Jackie Stewart, and Mario Andretti. After a period of decline, the track was purchased and extensively renovated by businessman Lawrence Stronach in 2000, who restored it to its former glory while implementing modern safety standards. Today, Circuit Mont-Tremblant hosts various racing events including sports car competitions, vintage racing festivals, and driver education programs. The track remains a living piece of Canadian motorsport heritage, blending historical significance with contemporary racing excitement.
