Additional facilities include a driving school with specialized wet handling and skid training areas, a dedicated karting track, and multiple conference rooms for corporate events. The circuit prioritizes sustainability with solar panels covering the main buildings, rainwater collection systems, and extensive noise mitigation measures to minimize community impact.
History
Founded in 1998, Nordpark GP Circuit emerged from a former industrial site, transforming it into a world-class motorsport venue. The circuit was designed by renowned track architect Hermann Tilke, who incorporated elements inspired by classic European racing circuits. Since its inaugural German Touring Car Championship (DTM) race in 2000, the track has evolved through several development phases, with a major reconfiguration in 2012 that enhanced both safety features and overtaking opportunities. Over the years, Nordpark has hosted numerous significant events including rounds of the World Touring Car Championship, GT World Challenge Europe, and various national championships.
