Technical Specifications and Track Features
The Oschersleben circuit features a 3.67 km main track with 14 turns, designed to FIA Grade 2 standards. The layout includes three distinctive configurations: the Grand Prix circuit, the shorter Club circuit, and the drift arena. The main straight allows vehicles to reach speeds of up to 240 km/h before entering the challenging first turn complex. The track width varies between 11 and 13 meters, providing ample space for overtaking opportunities, particularly at the hairpin turns. One of Oschersleben's most notable features is the significant elevation change of up to 23 meters throughout the lap, adding an additional layer of complexity for drivers. The circuit's surface offers excellent grip in various weather conditions due to its modern asphalt composition, while its extensive run-off areas and gravel traps enhance safety during high-speed maneuvers.
