Rustavi International Motorpark has a fascinating transformation story. Originally constructed during the Soviet era in the 1970s as part of an automotive testing facility, the circuit fell into disrepair following the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 2009, extensive renovation work began to transform the neglected facility into a modern racing complex. The circuit was officially reopened in 2012 after substantial investments in infrastructure, safety features, and facilities. Since its revival, Rustavi International Motorpark has hosted numerous national championships, international competitions, and regional series, becoming instrumental in developing motorsport culture throughout the Caucasus region.
