This world-class circuit offers a challenging layout for motorsport enthusiasts and professionals alike. The track combines technical sections with high-speed straights, making it suitable for various racing categories from touring cars to motorcycles. As the only FIA-standard racing circuit in the Caucasus region, Rustavi International Motorpark has become a pivotal venue for developing motorsport culture in Georgia and neighboring countries.

Technical Specifications and Track Features

The Rustavi International Motorpark features a 4.14-kilometer (2.57-mile) main circuit with 12 turns, offering a diverse range of challenges for drivers. The track maintains a width of 12-15 meters throughout, providing ample space for overtaking maneuvers. Its layout includes a main straight of approximately 900 meters, where vehicles can reach speeds exceeding 250 km/h before entering a technical section that tests drivers' braking and cornering abilities. The circuit incorporates a mix of slow, medium, and high-speed corners with varying radii, demanding precise driving techniques and strategic approach. The asphalt surface has been professionally laid to international standards, ensuring consistent grip levels throughout the track.

Facilities and Specialized Areas

Beyond the main circuit, Rustavi International Motorpark boasts comprehensive facilities to support various motorsport activities. The venue includes a dedicated paddock area with professional garages equipped with electrical connections and compressed air systems. For spectators, there are multiple grandstands strategically positioned around key corners and along the main straight, offering excellent vantage points to follow the racing action. The complex houses a modern race control tower with timing systems that meet international standards. Additional facilities include a skid pad for driver training, a shorter club circuit configuration, and specialized areas for drift competitions. The venue is also equipped with medical facilities, catering services, and ample parking for both participants and visitors.

History

Rustavi International Motorpark has a fascinating transformation story. Originally constructed during the Soviet era in the 1970s as part of an automotive testing facility, the circuit fell into disrepair following the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 2009, extensive renovation work began to transform the neglected facility into a modern racing complex. The circuit was officially reopened in 2012 after substantial investments in infrastructure, safety features, and facilities. Since its revival, Rustavi International Motorpark has hosted numerous national championships, international competitions, and regional series, becoming instrumental in developing motorsport culture throughout the Caucasus region. The venue continues to evolve with ongoing improvements, solidifying its position as an important motorsport hub bridging Eastern Europe and Western Asia.
