Privacy
You decide who sees each session.
Every recording has a visibility, a default you can change once in your profile, and a list of exactly who you handed it to.
New sessions start Public, so other drivers on the same track can compare against them. If you would rather they did not, switch your default to Link only or Private before your next track day, or change any single session afterwards. All of it is free.

01 Three levels
Public, Link only, Private. Pick one and see what it means.
The level shows as a chip on the session list, so you can see at a glance what each recording is set to without opening it.
Public
Anyone, and it appears where public sessions appear.
| Opens from a link | Yes |
|---|---|
| Listed on your profile | Yes |
| Posted on the wall | Yes |
| Offered in comparisons on the track | Yes |
| Best lap on the leaderboard | Unless opted out |
The starting level for every new session unless you change the default in your profile.
Link only
Anyone you give the link to, and nobody who does not have it.
| Opens from a link | Yes |
|---|---|
| Listed on your profile | No |
| Posted on the wall | No |
| Offered in comparisons on the track | No |
| Best lap on the leaderboard | Unless opted out |
Copy the link from the share window and send it however you like. Nothing lists it, so nobody stumbles onto it.
Private
Only you, plus the drivers you name in the share window.
| Opens from a link | Named people |
|---|---|
| Listed on your profile | No |
| Posted on the wall | No |
| Offered in comparisons on the track | No |
| Best lap on the leaderboard | Unless opted out |
The lap time still counts on the leaderboard unless you opt out of leaderboards in your profile.
02 Set it once
A default for everything you record next.
Out of the box the default is Public. Pick the visibility new sessions should start at instead and you stop deciding per session. Change it whenever; it applies from then on, not retroactively.
The default lives in your profile's privacy settings. Any single session can still be set differently, from the session itself, at any time.
03 Going back from public
Changed your mind? The post waits for you.
Take a session off Public and its post disappears from the wall. It is kept with its reactions, not deleted, and comes back if you make the session public again.
Your results, best laps and recorded data are untouched by any of this. Visibility decides who sees a session, never what is in it.
04 Shared with
Your coach does not need a public session.
Hand a session to named people and see the list of who has it. They find it under sessions shared with them, beside their own. Take it back and it is gone from their list.
Search a driver by username to add them. A coach, a team-mate, the friend who lent you the car: each one opens the session, and on a Private session nobody else does.
-
They hear about it
The driver you add gets a notification in the app and an email with a link to the session.
-
Removing access is immediate
The session leaves their list the moment you take it back.
-
It survives going private
Share a public session with someone, make it Private later, and they keep access while everyone else loses it.
05 Leaderboards are optional
You can drive the lap and stay off the board.
Opting out of leaderboards keeps your times out of the rankings without making your sessions private. You still get your own comparisons, your own theoretical best and your own history.
Worth knowing
Visibility and the leaderboard are two separate switches. A Private session still puts its best lap time on the track's leaderboard, because the time is a result, not the session.
If you want neither the session nor the time out there, set the session to Private and opt out of leaderboards in your profile.
06 What it costs
Privacy is not a paid feature.
All three levels, the default, sharing with named drivers and the leaderboard opt-out are free, and there is nothing to buy: Vetkuro is in public beta and has no paid tier yet. Whatever changes about that, visibility stays a setting rather than a feature you rent.
-
Export is yours
Export session files from the app: one archive with the raw data of every device as CSV, whatever the session's visibility.
-
Compare without publishing
A private lap can still be held against public runs on the same layout. Yours stays private while you do it.
-
Results are kept
Changing visibility never removes a result: a private session keeps its best laps and its place on the leaderboard.
