Video export

Your onboard video, with the numbers already on it.

Pick what shows on the frame, pick the lap, and Vetkuro renders the clip on the phone. No desktop editor, no second app, no overlay to line up by hand.

iOS and Android

The footage is already synced to the session's telemetry, so the speed on the dial is the speed the GPS recorded at that frame, and the lap timer starts where the car crossed the line.

01 Four things, you choose three

Every element is one you turned on.

A telemetry overlay is only useful if someone watching can read it in the half-second they look at it. So the frame carries three widgets at most, each answering one question: how fast, how hard, which lap.

Your picks are remembered, so the next clip comes out the same way unless you change it.

  • Speed gauge Dial with the current speed Optional
  • G-force Cornering and braking load, read from the motion sensors Optional
  • Lap timer Lap number and running time, started at the line Optional
  • Logo Stays on every export Always on

Each widget has its own place in the layout for that frame shape, and nothing is drawn that you did not ask for.

02 Horizontal or vertical

One clip for YouTube, one for a story.

Film the lap the way you will post it. A clip shot vertically gets an overlay laid out for the tall frame, a landscape clip one laid out for the wide frame, so nothing is cropped and no gauge ends up half off the screen.

One exported frame of the lap in landscape, with the speed gauge, the G-force widget and the lap timer on it.
16:9, for YouTube and a laptop screen
A vertical clip with the widgets laid out for the tall shape.
9:16, for Stories, Reels and Shorts

03 It takes your footage as it is

HDR in, a clip everyone can play out.

Modern phones and action cameras record HDR, which looks washed out wherever the player does not understand it. Vetkuro converts to SDR on the way out, on both iOS and Android, so the clip looks the same everywhere you post it.

  • You see it before it renders

The export sheet lists the clip's length, the widgets on it, the file size and the quality, then shows the time left once the render has a pace worth trusting.

  • Straight to the camera roll

The finished MP4 goes to your camera roll. If the system refuses that permission the export still completes and you share it from the sheet, so you never lose the render to a dialog.

  • Your original is untouched

The overlay is written into a new file. If a render fails, nothing is saved and the source clip stays exactly as it was. Keep Vetkuro open while it runs.

04 Before the export

The overlay is the last step. The sync is the first.

Record with the phone's own camera or bring footage from a GoPro. Vetkuro syncs it to the session's telemetry, and from then on Video details plays it lap by lap, next to the same data the analyzer reads.

The sync is not only for the phone. Once a video has uploaded, the web analyzer plays it beside the graphs: move the cursor on the delta curve and the film moves to the same point on the lap, with nothing to line up by hand.

Videos upload in original quality, and an account holds 10 GB of them. Recording, syncing and the overlay export are all free while Vetkuro is in public beta.

Three things the overlay is not.

It does one job and stays out of the way of the rest.

  • Not a video editor

No titles, no music, no transitions. One job: put the data on the frame. Cut the rest in whatever editor you already use.

  • Not a live overlay

The clip is rendered after the session, from telemetry already synced to the footage. Nothing is drawn while you drive.

  • Not a replacement for the analyzer

A clip shows what happened. The delta curve says where the time went, and the zone table says which corner.
