History
Originally opened in 1964 as "Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant," the track quickly established itself on the international racing scene. The circuit hosted two Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix events in 1968 and 1970, won by Denny Hulme and Jacky Ickx respectively. After a period of decline, the track was purchased and extensively renovated by businessman Lawrence Stronach in 2000, who restored it to its former glory while implementing modern safety standards.
