VTec Cup/Kaizen Cup Fixed layout

The VTec Cup/Kaizen Cup Fixed configuration is one of 4 layouts available at Tor Jastrząb. Lap times and sessions on this layout are tracked separately from other configurations.

Overview

Tor Jastrząb (Autodrom Jastrząb) sits in the village of Czerwienica in the Jastrząb municipality, at coordinates 51.2648°N, 20.9354°E. That puts it about 20 km south of Radom in central Poland. The facility opened in 2013 and covers more than 20 hectares. It was built as an ODTJ, a Polish advanced driver training center, so the whole site was designed around teaching car control. Today it is also a busy track day venue for cars and motorcycles. It hosts timed amateur competitions, corporate events and off-road training, which makes it a natural meeting point for drivers from Warsaw, Radom and the rest of central Poland. The name means "hawk" in Polish, and the bird is the symbol of the venue.

Technical Specifications and Track Features

Instead of a single fixed loop, Jastrząb has a network of asphalt and gravel roads, roughly 3.5 km in total, that can be combined into several circuit layouts. The longest is Layout 1, which runs anti-clockwise and measures 1.767 km. Layout 3 (1.564 km) and Layout 2 (1.508 km) both run clockwise. The track is at least 10 meters wide, and the layouts are short and technical rather than built for top speed. With straights this short, lap time comes mostly from braking points, rotation at the apex and traction on exit, so small mistakes cost a lot and sector-by-sector comparison pays off quickly. Being able to drive in both directions adds another challenge. A corner you know well one way becomes a different problem when you take it the other way, with new braking references and a new line to learn.

Facilities and Specialized Areas

The training side of the venue is unusually well equipped. It has seven dedicated sections, starting with a large 100 × 20 m low-grip slip plate. The plate is sprinkled and fitted with water curtains and a skid-car destabilization device that sends the car into a slide without warning. There are also a smaller 70 × 7 m slip plate, a 23 × 8 m slip plate on a 10° slope and a 47 × 7 m circular plate. A 10-meter-wide section of six tight asphalt curves and crushed-stone sections with a longest straight run of 154 m complete the set. A separate off-road course has 11 modules, including side-slope traverses, an axle articulation groove, steep climbs and descents, a sandbox and a water ford. Track days run in morning, afternoon and evening formats, with drivers grouped by experience and timed electronically. Every session opens with a mandatory safety briefing and a familiarization lap. For drivers who want to compete, the Track Day Auto Cup combines practice with two timed sessions across seven classes based on engine capacity, plus junior classifications, with timing by TAG Heuer. Off track, the venue has grandstands for 900 spectators, the 24-room Hotel Jastrząb, conference facilities for up to 360 guests, a lecture hall, a café and restaurant, and EV charging at up to 180 kW. It also runs a motorcycle academy in partnership with Honda.

History

Autodrom Jastrząb opened in 2013, and at the time it was described as one of the newest and best-equipped driver training facilities in Poland. It started out mainly as a safe-driving and fleet training center, with courses for new drivers, company fleets and riders. Over the years it has become a proper motorsport venue as well, adding regular track days, a timed amateur cup, dedicated motorcycle training and an off-road course. Today it is run by ITS Michalczewski and remains one of the key track and training venues in central Poland, serving both first-time drivers and experienced track day regulars.
