History

Founded in 1999, Carolina Motorsports Park was developed on the site of a former World War II B-26 training base. The circuit was designed by renowned track architect Alan Wilson, who carefully incorporated the natural landscape to create a challenging yet safe racing environment. Since its inception, CMP has hosted numerous prestigious events including races from the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), Championship Cup Series motorcycle events, and various manufacturer testing sessions.
